Warehouse Worker/General Labor/Warehouse Worker/Warehouse Inspector in College Park, GA 

 

Purpose of the Classification:

The scope of work for this position covers the responsibility for Mailbag Inspector/Processing Department functions for the Postal Operations.

 

Warehouse Inspector Essential Job Functions:

· Inspect, sort and stack mailbags

· Identify Mail Transport Equipment (MTE) handled in the Processing Department.

· Identify "Serviceable," "Defective," or "Condemned" mailbags and segregate each by classification.

· Adhere to all Pallet Stacking Criteria and Standards.

· Place condemned mailbags into the designated receptacles.

· Comply with Rework Orders.

· Perform Mail Transport Equipment Support System (MTESS) transactions as required.

· Observe safe practice rules (including housekeeping) as well as instructions relating to the efficient performance of their work.

· Identify and properly handle Found Mail.

Warehouse Inspector Experience Required:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

 

1st shift: 6am-2:30pm

1st shift: 4am-2:30pm if we run a 10hr shift

2nd shift: 3pm – 11:30pm

2nd shift: 3pm - 1:30am if we run a 10hr shift

$17.55 ($13.01 base + $4.54 health and welfare) hourly and monthly production incentives available as well.

*Overtime pay is calculated based on the $13.01 base pay rate
